Hillcrest Farmhouse is a traditional homely farmhouse, scenically situated in the heart of Killarney's Lake and mountain area, with picturesque views of the McGillicuddy Reeks. All bedrooms are en suite with television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Visitors can relax in our peaceful television lounge or enjoy watching the sheep and lambs grazing from your bedroom window. Dinner and packed lunches available upon request. Drying room for wet clothes and boots available for our guests use. Recommended by Le Guide de Routard, Brittany Ferries and many walking guides. Luggage transfer can be arranged for your follow on destinations on your walking holiday.

Location

Hillcrest Farmhouse is an ideal base for your holiday with boating and fishing nearby, situated near Gap of Dunloe and Purple Mountain, located close to many Golf Courses. Hillcrest Farmhouse is located just 100 metres off the Kerry Way Walking Route, 150 metres off the Kerry Cycle Route and a 5 minutes walk to Killarney's National Park and Upper Lake with it's grand oak woods and spectacular flora and fauna and rare species of butterflies and home to the famous red deer and white tailed eagle. The location of this unique farmhouse bed and breakfast make it an ideal base for walkers and cyclists and for touring the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula, Dingle and many other scenic routes. The White-Tailed Eagle which is also known as the White-Tailed Sea-Eagle, was re-introduced to County Kerry during 2007. Young eagles from Norway were released in Killarney National Park as part of a large project to bring these birds back to Ireland following 100 years extinction from this area. How To Get Here

From Killarney Town:
Get on the N71 road from Killarney town to Molls Gap, turn right at Molls Gap onto the R568 Sneem road for 300 metres. Then turn right again and continue for 9km to Hillcrest Farmhouse.
On Kerry Way Walking Route:
Follow the signs for the Kerry Way Walking Route from Killarney until you come to Brandons Cottage in Gearahmeen near the Upper lake. Travel pass Brandons Cottage over the bridge and keep left for 1km. On the right will be a sign for Hillcrest Farmhouse, located just 100 metres off the walking route.
